Summary
The issues companies face when it comes to diversity and inclusion still exist, regardless of wether we are working in person or virtually. Although numerous studies have proven that diverse teams can improve a company’s performance up to 35% we do not always achieve what we aim for. In this new workforce where management takes place virtually it is also hard to control and hard to measure. Some studies show that bullying, sexual harassment and cultural biases have actually increased in the virtual world because we literally do not have to look each other in the eye anymore. At GBT we have a number of online training sessions for live and virtual teams where we address the issues of diversity, inclusivity, mobbing and sexual harassment. We are certified in each subject.
