Introduction to Management Coaching Skills

Summary

A coaching style of management and communication encourages engagement, helps to manage complexity better, increases understanding and – last but not least – helps to leverage the creative potential and readiness of others while helping them to assume personal responsibility. We will do coaching lessons in the virtual environment and learn how in-person varies slightly from virtual coaching discussions.

Description

In this session we will introduce coaching skills with virtual coaching. Many managers don’t know what coaching is or how it differs from managing, training, mentoring and counseling. This course will help managers understand the fundamental skills of coaching conversations in order to encourage better management and communication skills. It is suggested that this skill takes 2 sessions or 1 session followed up by a live session in Hong Kong.

  • Develop conscious behavior in communication
  • Dealing with distractions (dogs, children, etc…) in a virtual coaching conversation
